New research for the development of climate labelling of food
The National Food Institute has published three reports that can form the basis for a possible climate labelling of food in Denmark. Among other things, the reports contain proposals for foods that can first be included in the labelling scheme, proposals for the unit that can be used when the climate impact is to be used for climate labelling, and proposals for how the steps in a climate labelling scale can be determined.

Confirmation of another case of tularaemia in a hare
Following official confirmation of the tularaemia pathogen in a hare from Junglinster on 3 April 2025, another hare was brought to the Veterinary and Food Laboratory (LVA) for examination on 14 April 2025. It was found dead along a country road near the village of Wellenstein. This hare also tested positive for tularaemia today, 16 April 2025.

Strict rules and measures are still in place due to the foot-and-mouth disease
The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) draws attention to the fact that strict rules are still in place to stop the foot-and-mouth disease outbreak. The virus remains a serious threat in Hungary. Although there have been no new outbreaks so far, the threat has not disappeared and the authorities are maintaining protection and strict restrictions.
