Further emergency authorisations against the reed glasswing cicada
Application now also possible in potatoes, root vegetables to follow
In order to combat the reed glasswing cicada in potato cultivation, the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) has issued emergency authorisations for the use of regularly authorised plant protection products. The BVL had previously issued emergency authorisations for use in sugar beet.

Animal welfare research prize 2025 awarded by the BMEL
